Trip Information

We offer a first class experience with professional guides, great food, and all the gear you require including premium fly rods, waders, boots, and flies! Pick-up time will vary according to weather, time of year, and current fishing trends. A typical full day will last 10 - 12 hours, while a typical half day will last up to 6 hours, including travel time. We can always adjust these times to suit your needs.

Float Trips

All Float Trips take place in new Hyde drift boats. Our drift boats have padded front and rear seats, front and rear knee braces (pictured above), rod holders, and of course an extremely stable platform from which to cast. Anglers will fish from the boat as we drift down the river, and from shore when we stop at our many secret spots along the way. Your guide will take you on one of three sections on the breathtaking Upper Bow River near Banff, or one of six sections on the world famous "Blue Ribbon" Lower Bow River near Calgary. Your guide will put you on fish with the flies the fish are dialled in on, and provide advice and instruction for which techniques are currently most productive for that particular section of river.

Half day trips are great for the corporate businessman who works during the day, but still wants to get out and entertain clients during the very productive morning, afternoon, or evening fish.

Overnight multi-day trips allow you to fish whenever you want, even in the dark.  They are a great way to bond with friends or loved ones.  You will sleep soundly under the stars in our premium tents with the sound of the river relaxing you.  Tents, Bar-B-Q, and the campfire is provided.  If you are travelling light, we can arrange and pick up your sleeping bags, pillows, and sleeping pads from the local Outdoor Program Center.  They are professionally cleaned after every trip.  Overnight trips can be any duration you want, 1 night, 2 nights, 3 nights... you decide!  Why not put the money you would spend on a hotel towards more fishing!

Walk and Wade Trips

Walk and Wade Trips are designed for the angler who may want to learn certain parts of the river, for those who want to learn to read water better, and for those who just enjoy thoroughly covering good water and picking fish out one at a time from a productive hole or seam. Clients can choose from a variety of rivers and streams in the region including the Upper Bow River, Lower Bow River, Oldman River, Sheep River, Highwood River, Livingstone River, or Crowsnest River; to name only a few. You can pursue Bull Trout, Rainbows, Browns, and Cutties.

Lake Trips

There is a plethora of beautiful lakes around Calgary, Banff, Canmore, and Kananaskis Country. Trips are available to hunt huge ferocious Northern Pike, trophy Walleye, beautifully unique Arctic Grayling, hard fighting Rainbows, evasive Browns, scrappy Brook Trout, eager native West Slope Cutthroat, and aggressive native Bull Trout. Depending on the lake access and your preference, lake trips will be in either a boat, a float tube, or from shore. Your guide will teach you about the feeding patterns for the fish you are pursuing, will take care of fly selection, and will show you various retrieval techniques to get those fish biting.
Lake Trips are a great way to take the family out to introduce them to fly fishing, or to just spend a day or a weekend with some friends. Let us take care of the details for you so you can concentrate on the fishing and time spent with family and friends.
